I’ll say two things. Anecdotally, I’ve never worked for a judge who would’ve tossed an application if she thought it was incomplete (ie, missing one letter of rec or UG transcript). If she (or he) likes your LS grades and resume/letter of rece, they’d almost certainly have a law clerk follow up with you. Anecdotally, of course.
Also, That’s happened to me before. Mailed an app into a judge who apparently (and unbeknownst to me) required an undergrad transcript. Guess the judge liked me tho, because I received a phone call from a LC telling me to send one in and then received an interview invite a day or
