Taking BigLaw Leave of Absence for ALJ Clerkship
Posted: Tue Apr 17, 2018 9:39 pm
I'm a jr. associate in biglaw and thinking of leaving to do a clerkship for a year. The clerkship would be with an ALJ, and the subject matter is directly related to what I (and my practice group) does. What do people think about this - good or bad idea? Do you think the firm would be supportive? I know it's not an Article III clerkship, so I wonder if I should even do it at all.
Any feedback appreciated. Thanks!
