Should I take the NY bar during my clerkship?

I start a 1 year flyover district clerkship in august. I'd have already taken the CA bar already prior to starting my term. I don't have a return offer, and am hoping to get into BigLaw.

Good idea to take the NY Bar in Feb?

Note: I was approved for testing accommodations in CA, and I assume that I'll also get similar accommodations in NY. That's why I'm considering this since I'll have double time to take the exam. While I'd like to return to CA post clerkship, I'm not opposed to NY or DC. I went to a law school outside the T14 and don't have latin honors.

This is a question only you can answer and it's going to come down the amount of time you can realistically contribute to studying. Some clerkships will be an easy 9-5 with no weekend work. Others will be much demanding and studying will be tough.

Regardless, focus on passing one exam before you think about taking a second. It takes a lot of work to prepare for the bar exam and you shouldn't be getting so far ahead of yourself.
