Anyone heard anything yet?

(Apparently, some spots were filled last fall.)

I haven't heard anything, so it's hard to believe they're doing offers yet.

I would assume they're interviewing soon. Same with the Supreme Court.

Anyone know how many people they tend to interview? Or what the interviews are usually like (i.e., substantive, chancellor/justice plus clerks, etc.)?

It would be nice if people who got interviews posted their stats for future applicants.

Are there particular non-Delaware markets that Chancery Clerks are competitive for? I've heard NYC is one but how easy is it for clerks to land jobs in other markets across the country? And I assume DE Supreme Court clerks might be more limited to DE firms?

Last week I got called for 3 interviews. I had 5 years work experience at a NY bank, JD/MBA, and 3.8 GPA at a T-14. I didn't do a journal, but I had a fairly well-known professor write my recommendation.

As I understand it, Delaware travels well. I'd prefer Delaware to any appellate court. But I'm rather focused on transactional.

I also got a call for interview(s) last week. My stats are far less impressive than the previous poster. A few post-UG years of irrelevant work experience. Top 10% at a T50, bd. of editors on law review. I'm a 3L so I'd have one year of post-law school experience at a biglaw firm.

I heard great things from the clerk I talked to, but he also works you hard (the clerk for another judge actually joked about how much harder they have it).

For those wondering Strine was interviewing in October at least and I got my offer from Justice Seitz around the same time--I believe non-Strine justices only have one clerk each so that is one filled.

I cannot speak to chancery.

Re: travel well, I also have heard it travels quite well and a lot of the judges in Delaware are connected with big law and more willing to reach out for you than the traditional federal judge.

Has there been any more movement? (hiring, interview requests, etc.) Submitted my application right before the deadline but haven't heard anything.

Chancery: Laster, Slights, and Glasscock had not hired as of late last week, but they were interviewing.

Supreme Court: Per the poster a couple spots up, it sounds like Strine and Seitz have hired. Valihura also hired recently. Holland is retiring, so that leaves only Vaughn as the last possible remaining spot for now (I have no idea though).

It appears they scheduled interviews throughout the month. I interviewed near the beginning of March. Each VC said that it would be 3-4 or even 6 weeks before they would be making decisions.

They probably need to interview 15-20 people: 5 weeks in March. So I'd say that they'll pick in the first two weeks of April.
