Bonuses for a 2-year clerkship

I'm in a 2-year clerkship with a judge. It's been four months and I love it here. The thing is, I originally applied for a 1-year clerkship, but the judge asked that I stay 2 years. I don't mind spending an extra year out here, but will I get the 70k clerkship bonus if I go back to a firm? Or does the bonus only apply if you clerk for 2 different judges?

I know someone who got the $70k bonus for doing a 2-year clerkship with a federal district court. NYC big law. May vary by firm, though.

Some firms are doing $75k for two clerkships--I imagine firms willing to do $75k for two clerkships would be willing to do the same for one two-year clerkship. But it really does depend on the firm.

FWIW, I had a two-year district court clerkship, and my NYC big law summer associate firm offered me a $50,000 bonus. From what I have gathered, most firms give bonuses by clerkship; not the amount of years at that clerkship.

Everyone I know that has done a two year clerkship, has been offered the higher bonus. Most firms don't distinguish between two clerkships vs two years. In fact, some firms have even changed their language to say "two years" of clerking (see susman godfrey: (associates joining the firm after clerking for two or more years at the federal district or appellate level receive an additional $20,000 clerkship bonus, resulting in a total clerkship bonus of $100,000.").
