Post-Grad Clerkship - Apply ahead with LOR to be followed or wait for the complete app?

I think my judge takes clerks on a rolling basis, and since holidays are approaching, I want my judge to at least know I exist before he/she makes the decision. Would it be okay to send all my material in now and have my CDO send in the LORs whenever my professors submit them? Or is this a big no no?

If I understand what you're saying, that's fairly common. The cover letter can say that letters will arrive separately. (I'm a little interested in your use of "my judge" this early in the process - and I hope you're not just applying to one - but that wasn't your question.)
