How many others are still waiting to hear back post-interview? I have two I'm still waiting to hear back from.

Good luck! Glad to know I'm not the only one waiting.

Good luck to you too! Do you mind sharing where they were? I had one from the midwest (last week) and one from the south (this week).

Are you allowed to follow up like a week after the interview (as is the case for regular jobs) or is that faux-pas?

Probably faux pas unless you have a specific reason to follow up (eg the judge said he would make a decision by Monday and you call on Tuesday).

What if the judge something ambiguous like "...will get back to you in 2-3 weeks probably?"

Just let it be. I understand the anxiety—it's human nature to want to do something to improve your chances—but there's just no upside to pestering chambers about what's going on. If you have a legit reason to call (like you have an interview with another judge), then I think it makes sense to contact the judge to let him or her know about the situation. But if that's not your situation, I think the best thing you can do is to chill.

I would wait in any of the situations described above, including where judge says "I'll make a decision by Monday" and you're thinking about calling on Tuesday, except if you have a legitimate need for a quick decision. A week or two in chambers goes by in the blink of an eye and, while hiring is important, more urgent matters crop up all the time. Also, it may take a judge longer than he's anticipating to interview all the candidates he's interested in. It's virtually certain that the judge hasn't forgotten about you in a week or two, and calling chambers for an update too early could make you look unstable or come off as trying to pressure the judge.

What if I got my mom to call? Faux Pas?

But seriously, also waiting. Sucks... And it's only been a day.

Been exactly one week from the interview, and I'm dyyiiing here. With each day that goes by without a word, I'm sensing that my chances of offer is going down, down, down...

If the judge said they would take two weeks to make a decision but you haven't heard anything for three weeks, does this mean it's a ding?

The judge I interviewed with does 4 rounds of interviews. 24 days went by after first interview to offer for second and that was a week ago--going to kill myself if each round takes a month.

A classmate recently went 9 weeks between interview and offer with radio silence in between. You never know until you get the ding letter.

Another anecdote... I know someone who went 4 months between interview and offer. Hang in there!

Did your classmate have any other interviews in between those 9 weeks?

Excuse my naiveté, but how do judges typically let one know about an offer?

Mail? Phone Call? Both?
