Two questions regarding resume:
(1) Do I put "Prospective Clerk" since I haven't started yet, or will putting 2015-2016 as the date suffice?
(2) My district court judge splits her time between City A and City B. I think it's worth noting that I'll be sitting in both courthouses, because the two cities receive different types of cases. On the off chance a judge is aware of the variance in cases, it might help my application. How should I list it? Judge Jane Doe, City X / City Y, Statesonia?

I didn't have scheduled on mine and I got a 2nd clerkship.
I don't see the problem--you're going to be there without question unless something horrible happens to either you or them, so...

In a related question, is it generally acceptable not to put a job description for a judicial clerkship that you are completing/have completed?

For the clerkship I have not yet begun I just list it like I would any other job but where I put the date I say "Beginning Sept. 2014."
As for the job description question--I do not have anything for the clerkship I have almost completed. It saves space and its just one of those jobs where people know what you did. I know on a lot of the HLS sample resumes (a great resource if you haven't looked) they do not list descriptions or list something extremely short/generic (which seems silly).

I think City X/City Y is fine. Or maybe City X and City Y, State. It's not common enough for there to be some kind of convention you must follow or look gauche, so I wouldn't worry.
