This is because her 23-24 posting expired. I know of someone who had a first-round interview with her a few weeks back for that term, so she has at least started interviewing.

Any update from your friend that interviewed with Moritz? I also had a screener a few weeks ago and a writing prompt but haven’t heard anything since.

They haven't heard anything either - told me they've assumed they didn't move on to the next round and are just moving on. Fingers crossed for you though!Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 11:31 amAny update from your friend that interviewed with Moritz? Anyone notice that Bacharach is looking for another clerk for this fall? Pretty surprising

He probably had a clerk selected as part of KBJ’s class?

The names of those four clerks have already been released and it would not really have made sense for any of them to be clerking for him this term.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 3:04 pmHe probably had a clerk selected as part of KBJ’s class?

Any info on who Rossman has hired as her clerks or what her reputation is on CA10 so far? Looks like she wrote a great, immigrant-friendly decision a while back, so I would assume she's one of the more liberal (if not the most liberal?) judges on the 10th. Her OSCAR posting suggests that she does care about ties to the 10th - does she also prefer public interest applicants?

Re: Let's Talk 10th Circuit!
Hard to know because she’s only had one set of clerks so far, but her current clerks do seem to be relatively public interest oriented and Rossman was a career federal defender before getting nominated. As to how liberal she is, also hard to know so early on but she seems to be on par with Lucero (who imo has been the most liberal in recent years).Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 3:12 pmAny info on who Rossman has hired as her clerks or what her reputation is on CA10 so far? Not the OP but also interested in Rossman - are all her current clerks HYS grads, or does she hire more broadly? I understand that the first set of clerks is a small sample size & not representative, but still curious.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 3:40 pmHard to know because she’s only had one set of clerks so far, but her current clerks do seem to be relatively public interest oriented and Rossman was a career federal defender before getting nominated. Lower T14 student here with a not-spectacular GPA (top third, I think). My resume is fairly public-interesty and I got an interview request from her, so she's definitely taking a more holistic approach.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 4:47 pmNot the OP but also interested in Rossman - are all her current clerks HYS grads, or does she hire more broadly? Rossman herself graduated from Hastings, so it makes sense that she would be open to candidates from more schools. For the anon who had an interview, did you have Colorado/10th Circuit ties?Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 12:29 pmLower T14 student here with a not-spectacular GPA (top third, I think). Re: Let's Talk 10th Circuit!
I'm that anon and no I did not, but I had a pretty strong and well-established interest in lower court appellate lit. Everyone mentions that she prefers Denver ties but I'll also point out that she states in her posting that she prefers a strong interest in appellate lit and public service. I hope that helps!Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 3:34 pmRossman herself graduated from Hastings, so it makes sense that she would be open to candidates from more schools. That's very helpful - thanks! I have a similar background and plan to apply for 2024 whenever she starts taking apps, so that's encouraging to hear.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 4:59 pmI'm that anon and no I did not, but I had a pretty strong and well-established interest in lower court appellate lit. Jeez. Has any context ever come out about the chair throw? Obviously a cruel thing to do, but also just so odd.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sat Jul 16, 2022 11:58 amDidn’t Holmes throw a chair at a clerk? Idc how fucking prestigious the clerkship is, don’t risk your bodily safety for a resume line

I clerked for him and would not recommend it (to anyone). The chair thing can't be real.

If you're still interested: she definitely hires more broadly.
