Anyone know if Judge McHugh has made any interview invitations yet for 2022-23?

Does anyone have intel on the D. Colo. judges for 2022-23? I've heard Arguello is full, and Brimmer is on OSCAR. Curious about the others.

Any insights into what it's like to work for Carson?
Seems like a good guy. Friendly to our chambers in a way that strikes me as genuine and he has a good reputation on the court. Fairly conservative, but not totally doctrinaire. Can't speak to hours or mentorship or anything internal to his chambers, but from the outside he seems like a pretty good judge to clerk for.
I had a close friend who clerked for him. Really enjoyed the clerkship and had only positive things to say about the judge. My impression was that Judge Carson was very personable and friendly and went to bat for his clerks. Hours were also very manageable--generally 8-5, M-F.

Any word on whether Judge Eid is done for 22-23 or 23-24? Or information that she has stuck to her old hiring scheme (CU, DU, Chicago) that was mentioned in this forum? Thank you!

I know that Eid didn't hire from Chicago last year, though she usually does and that may have been a fluke, who knows. No idea on CU or DU.

Does anyone have insights on Phillips? Either what he's like as a boss or what he looks for in hiring?

How would you rank the active 10th Circuit judges in terms of being conservative/liberal? Like where does say Judge Holmes or Judge Tymkovich fall on the political spectrum?

Tymkovich is very conservative. No one in their right mind should clerk for Holmes (see the many messages about him on this forum)

I know what this forum/thread says, but I wasn’t really asking if people should pursue the Holmes clerkship. My question still stands as to Judge Holmes - would he be considered “very conservative” like Tymkovich?

Is Eid hiring early ('23 and '24), or is she on-plan?

I've heard really, really good for both. Relaxed in chambers and clerks get impressive jobs afterwards--not sure if that's mentoring or just the resume boost, though.

A fair number of recent OSCAR posting--Tymkovich, Eid, Carson, McHugh. Has anyone heard of any movement or interviews?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
