I haven't seen a thread on this circuit. I heard that Diane Wood is done. Posner/Easterbrook are presumably done as well. Anyone else?

Wood is done per an e-mail from her chambers.

Anyone know if Sykes or Williams have moved at all?

Seems like (at least from OSCAR and responses to received applications), Hamilton, Kanne, Tinder, Flaum, etc. are going to wait a while before starting.

Tinder is done, permanently: http://abovethelaw.com/2014/03/rejectio ... -quitting/

Any movement on any of the other non-Posner/Wood/Easterbrook judges?

He has sent out at least one interview request.

Does Ripple hire alums at all? His (lovely and quite thorough) OSCAR posting says he has career clerks so I'd assume all his term positions are for new grads, but I'm not sure.

I have a friend who got a confirmation email from both OSCAR and from Judge Flaum's chambers. Did anyone else experience this? Did anyone else only get the OSCAR confirm?

Yes, a friend of mine who applied to Flaum got both as well. Got them at least a month ago and hasn't heard anything since.

I heard Flaum was starting to move, although this is pretty early for him.

I know this was an old post, but I called Williams' chambers the week of April 21 and they confirmed Judge Williams hadn't filled her 8/2015 clerkship slot yet. The OSCAR deadline for that one was May 1st (one week ago). Haven't heard anything since.

A former clerk of hers told me once that the clerks (often? sometimes?) pick the candidates to be interviewed. But I don't know if that affects the timeline at all. So if anyone has heard back from Williams I'd be interested.

I got a Flaum reject letter a while back. Haven't heard anything about the others, but I believe Hamilton's OSCAR post suggested he wouldn't be interviewing until June/July, so I'm guessing he's not full yet.

Someone at my school accepted an offer with Hamilton yesterday.

Anyone have any info. on the competitiveness of Williams and Hamilton? I'm HYS/cum laude/secondary journal, d.ct. clerkship (but not a particularly competitive one), strong writing skills, and peripheral ties to the area. Wondering if it's worth an app for these two. Also just generally wondering if 7th Cir. is unrealistic with these credentials.
