Any news yet? For those waiting, what timeline were you given for hearing back?

Their "draft" is today. First round of offers will be called right after and given "a day or two" to reply, with next round of offers (if needed) going out after.

Um, no? SC clerkships went out last week, and that's that. CoA should be making their decisions this week.

Where are you getting that info? Alaska COA application deadline isn't until October 31st.

Different anon than above, but I was asked during interview about being considered for COA and told COA decisions would be made as soon as the SC had selected its clerks. Perhaps it's not too late to apply, but at the very least hiring for COA is on a rolling basis starting now from the remaining applicant pool. Can also confirm that SC calls were made last week.

I'm Anon that asked the question. Thanks for the info. I got my COA apps in last week, but I wasn't expecting to hear anything until November. I am glad to hear that they may be making their decisions earlier.

Did anyone hear back from the CoA yet?

Interviews for AK CoA were Monday. They said they would make offers yesterday.

CoA did interviews on Monday of this week and they said they would make decisions yesterday/today.

To posters above: Can you confirm that offers were actually sent out today / yesterday?

I interviewed, but haven't heard anything yet. I'm the one that posted above.

That makes a minimum of 2, (and, if my analysis of prior comments serves me correctly, perhaps 4), people who are actively awaiting on the AKCoA.

No confirmed rejections or acceptances.

I'm sure the anticipation is eating away at you all as it is eating away at my soul and intestines. As in, I know I probably didn't get it (since the call should have come today), but without anyone else out there to confirm they went out, I feel as if my life is in a state of unrest and decay.

I'm hoping to get it. I'm not sure if this is the place to post this, but I lived in Anchorage so if anyone has questions about living there I'm happy to answer. If I don't get to go back I will be insanely jealous of you that get an offer because it's an amazing place to live.

They did interviews all day on Monday, so I imagine there are 15-20 or so people (30 min interviews) trying for the clerkships. I assume that because we haven't heard anything, they have already made offers. They said multiple times in my interview that they would be making calls yesterday/today.

Are you in the pool for Superior Court judges? If you really want to be in Anchorage, look into it!

Anyone hear anything new today?

I just received some correspondence from a trial judge...this makes me think the CoA has selected and app's have shifted down to the Superior (and Anc Dist) courts.

I'm kind of in a bind. I really wanted CoA, but now have another offer pending. Does anyone know any way to confirm whether CoA decisions went out? I ask, because there doesn't seem to be any direct way to talk to court staff, etc.

Did you interview with CoA? The number for their chambers, as well as the clerk of the court is listed here. http://www.courts.alaska.gov/courtdir.htm I am not sure of the protocol for contacting a Judge about a pending offer, but that list will allow you to contact the court.

Superior Court has begun hiring, so I think it is safe to say CoA has been completed hiring even though we have no confirmation.
