Resume question

My friend recently finished a clerkship with a magistrate judge and wants to know how to put this on her resume without being unintentionally deceptive or unclear. She's seen people put "Law Clerk to the Honorable John Smith" on their resumes, but how do you specify that this Honorable person was a magistrate judge? TYIA.

A quick perusal of LinkedIn reveals a few ways:
Law Clerk to the Honorable X, Magistrate Judge
Law Clerk to the Honorable Magistrate Judge X
Law Clerk to Magistrate Judge X

Yeah, she's seen those ways too. They just seems so clunky and long (the first two). The third one works I suppose. Just looking to see if anyone else had any other ways not thought of.

Mine is longer, but it works for my resume:
Law Clerk for the Honorable John Doe, Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of New York
