I scheduled the interviews for this week and next, but accepted an offer for the 2nd Cir.
Wow, nice. Stats may I ask?
Sure, but nothing spectacular!

Top 15 school, Top 10% in class, Law Review, published, moderate work experience (non-legally related), and externship.
Recs: 1) Amazing/couldn't ask for better; 2) Really strong; 3) Standard, good student letter.

Further, I had professors cold call maybe 4-5 judges. But, only one of those called for an interview (and that was before OSCAR). However, I will note that I sent many paper apps with the goal of them receiving it a day or two before D-Day last Friday. I don't know if that made a difference, but I suspect that even on-plan judges don't mind peeking so close to the date.

No offense, but unless you have something else going on you batted way above your average. Congratulations. Make one or two of those interviews count...

In case it helps calm nerves:

I have applications in with several Iowa judges (8th Cir. and district). This week, feeling antsy, I called Melloy's and Jarvey's chambers. Melloy's clerk said they wouldn't be calling people in for interviews for at least two weeks, Jarvey's JA said she had no idea when the judge would get to 2014 applications (but it sounded like not soon).

Good luck from flyover country...

Also an Iowa applicant. Thanks for the updates. Keep them coming, if you don't mind.

Crickets here, except for a bunch of "we're not currently hiring" letters for judges who weren't on OSCAR.

So in E.D. La., Milazzo and Vance are full. Anyone know about Barbier, Berrigan, Brown, Lemmon, Morgan, or Zainey?

Morgan is interviewing, may be done by now. Have no idea on the rest.

Meaning calls that out from 15-16 separate SDNY judges?
