My judge is friends with him and speaks highly of him. I met him once at a law clerk meet and greet and definitely had a favorable impression. I did not speak with him one on one though- it was a group Q and A. His law clerks at that time were not apparent gunners. They were reserved, but polished and personable. He is a reserved man, soft spoken (at least in this one instance and compared to the other judges).
