Request for Interview via snail mail?

Quick dumb question. I am out of town doing an internship for the next 6 weeks, but I just sent off all my clerkship stuff which has my home/school mailing address on. I have a friend who will be periodically picking up mail for me but I wonder if I should ask him to keep a heads up for anything from a judge. Do they ever request an interview via snail mail? I am sure some rejections will be mailed, andI can wait to read those but i am curious if judges mail applicants requesting an interview. I did receive one callback from a firm in the mail, so I'm a little worried now.

I have never heard of such a thing for a judge or any other type of employer.

I once got a firm callback via snail mail, too (which astounded me), but I have never heard of a judge doing that.

i got one this way, but it was for a future term (she was full for 14-15), and was more like "not sure if this is something you want, but let me know and we'll do an interview early next year" type of thing, rather than the more typical interview request.

nonetheless, i wouldn't worry about it.

I've heard of this for firm callbacks, but never for a clerkship interview.
