I've heard Scirico is full as well, but that was indirect.

Based on past new-judge-appointed experience, what's the reasonable time to expect Judge Shwartz to begin looking at clerks to start immediately/to start one or two terms down the road?

Cowen is done per letter from chambers. Anyone have any other updates?

Although some previous posts suggested some of these judges are full, I wanted to double check as I was hoping to send out a few applications this week.

These are the 3d circuit judges whose posting on Oscar still shows available position for 2014. Which of these are actually still accepting applications?

Aldisert
Chagares
Fisher
Fuentes
Greenberg
Smith

Thanks!

D. Brooks Smith has hired at least one clerk for 2014, and that was several weeks ago if not longer.

And that is without a single OSCAR posting for 2014. Fascinating.

Judge Schwartz does not post on OSCAR for clerk positions.

A lot of judges don't. I would expect any potential clerkship applicant that reads TLS to know this by now (though not necessarily know which judges don't post).

So Judges Sloviter and Scirica will soon be taking senior status. This may be a silly question, but: is it an absolute certainty that their replacements will have Philadelphia duty stations? Or might one or the other end up being a Trenton, Newark, or Delaware judge?

(this assumes anybody will get confirmed before, say, 2014)
