***Update****
UF at 13,000
Wake at 26,000
No need for any more contemplation. Thanks for all of the advice.
**********************************
UF at $22,000 per year
Wake at $26,000
I am a FL resident, and in state tuition in guaranteed. Wake's scholarship requires that I stay in good standing.
I have worked 2 years in the legal field in the state of FL. I do not care to make it to big law. I have no attachment to the state of FL. All I am looking for is a JD with an opportunity for a middle class job. Any solid advice would be useful. Please do not post if you only have run of the mill misinformation. Thank you.

A JD is not a ticket to a middle class life.

Agreed. However, a JD is an opportunity for a middle class life. All I am looking for is the best opportunity.

Less job competition in NC, where only Tar Heels are your main competition (most Blue Devils go out of state).
In FL, you have FSU and UM as your main competition, and then a bunch more "less elite" schools fighting for jobs.

Depends if you want ACC Basketball or SEC Football?
But in all seriousness. I think the Research Triangle is an exciting part of the country with lots of room for growth in its economy. I do not know anything about the Florida or NC legal market but I imagine the NC Research Triangle has a healthier economy, thus stronger legal market, with more room for growth.
UF is also a big school while Wake is very small. It just depends where you would like to end up after school

What is total cost of attendance (including interest and cost of living) at each

True, but both markets are insular. The better choice will be where the OP has ties to, which it sounds like is FL.

Without interest, I am looking at $111,000 for UF, and $123,000 for Wake.
*Please note that I added $15,000 per year for room and board.

If those are the without numbers, absolutely don't go
When you add interest, you're gonna need biglaw money to repay loans
But biglaw chances are slim from those schools
Retake or don't go dude

Ha, so don't go to either? Either my numbers are off, or other in state residents have gotten bad advice from other TLS members. I have read numerous times that in-state at UF is not a terrible deal.

Look at lawschooltransparency.com
I'd go like $75k in debt for UF
Good chance you'll be pleading for a $55k job
If you're worried about math use the Georgetown law debt calculator (google)

Have you tried showing UF the Wake scholarship to see if they might give you something? Neither one is a slam dunk at those prices.

I have, and UF told me they would send the offer over to the admissions committee.
