Who has the scoop on cheap housing? I'm talking sub 700/mo for a single within 5 miles from campus.

if you go south a couple of a miles you'll be able to get that. you'll also get shot at, but you'll have to choose one or the other.wbrother wrote:Who has the scoop on cheap housing? I'm talking sub 700/mo for a single within 5 miles from campus.

Still debating all options but checking in. Btw is it just me or is the USC law building the saddest/most boring law building ever?

Re: USC 2016
Its pretty boring, but because its on campus, the rest of the campus more than makes up for it. Seemingly unlike BU, which I believe has the tower which is pretty much on its own.BigZuck wrote:Still debating all options but checking in. I had no idea what to expect when I visited, but after looking at the rest of the campus I assumed it would be very Hogwarts-esque. Boy, was I wrong. Still a very nice building on the inside (classrooms, courtrooms, etc)

LST reports an improvement for USC c/o 2012 job placement. I like the sound of this!

still not that great although the 2016 class will have far fewer people competiting for about the same amount of jobs. USC has shrunk its class by a lot so that's good news.Darienk wrote:NICE! +1biznardos wrote:http://www.lstscorereports.com/?school=usc&show=aba

Out of 221 graduates only 19 students that were seeking a job didn't get one. That's not bad at all, just don't be that 19. Jobs won't be just handed to you because you have a law degree from USC. You still have to go out there and sell yourself.
Out of curiosity, by how much did they shrink their class size?

We don't know this for sure. If firms keep their same cut offs then roughly the same percentage of kids will get big law. The class size would be inconsequential at that point.zman wrote:still not that great although the 2016 class will have far fewer people competiting for about the same amount of jobs. yea but you are competiting against fewer people to graduate closer to top of the class. the less grads the better for law students and not so much for schools of course.BigZuck wrote:We don't know this for sure. Re: USC 2016
So I'm still waiting on offers from other schools, but the scholarship acceptance deadline is coming up in a few days. If I plan on negotiating the amount, but accept my scholarship as is, can I still negotiate? I don't want to lose it but I definitely want to see if I can get more...

Re: USC 2016
Just placed my deposit. They upped my scholarship offer, but I am still wanting more. With that said, really enjoyed my visit and even though I will try to get more eventually, it is worth placing my deposit as I am pretty sold on what they have to offer.
