I need to chose between a 1 bedroom/den on Arlington right near the Pavilion and Jeffersonian or a one bedroom/den in Ivy Gardens. Ivy Gardens would be about $200 more a month but looks nicer than the other place and I hear that's where the social scene is. Do you think I would risk being isolated in a one bedroom on Arlington and that would be worth paying more to live in a bit nicer apartment/be where the social situation would be best?

I'd go with the Arlington room but that's just me. It's still close to Ivy and the $200 a month translates to a saving of $2,400 a year (which is enough to cover utilities and cable/internet).

Yeah it's family housing. For the 3BRM priority is given to families with at least 2 kids.

I figured that. My hope for P was that someone on the fb group would be looking for a roommate. I almost prefer Ivy because I could go without the fancy amenities and Pavillion charges an extra 50 bucks a month for parking.

I think you'll be ok. Most of the stuff on craiglist is still for like June/July move ins so I expect there to be a big aug move in boom sometime next month.

Someone in P (i.e. me) is still looking for a roommate. You can start moving forward on it without even having to commit thanks to the way the leasing works. And I wouldn't care because the rooms are leased separately - meaning I don't have to desperately search to fill it or be on the hook for the $$$.

Spoke to Dean Richard. She said that currently there was no more money available for additional awards and that they're sending out new awards as money shakes loose (people withdrawing, etc.) She also said that currently they're trying to spread out awards to people who currently don't have any rather than increase people who are seeking additional awards.
