I have decided to attend Iowa, and I am ready to meet my fellow Hawkeyes and Iowans. Who else will be attending this fall?

I am finishing my 3rd year in college (Iowa resident) and will be taking the LSAT in October. I would also be curious as to your experience in applying to Iowa- good, bad, indifferent. Any tips or recommendations? Also admission numbers and any scholarship info would be appreciated. I currently have a 3.98 but I have no idea on how well I will do on my LSAT.

Good job on the GPA. Mine was about a 3.7 and with a 166 on the LSAT as a non-resident, I got a full scholarship offer. They were the fastest to admit out of any of the other schools (3 weeks) and most helpful with the application process. I had a problem with one of my recommendations and the admissions office was really good about making sure it got through in the end. I really wanted to go to Iowa because of the atmosphere of the program and was sure to write my personal statement with Iowa specifically in mind. I don't know how much that actually helped, but I think it's good for them to know that you are a sure bet for attendance if they can make it work for you financially. Hope this answers the other question too about why I chose Iowa.

Thanks- it does help. I plan on staying and practicing in Iowa so UI seems like a great fit- especially when looking at cost. Hopefully the LSAT will cooperate in October and I will be on the Class of 2016 forum....

I will hopefully be joining Iowa Law this fall. I am currently on the "preliminary waitlist"... I am currently an undergrad student at Iowa and love Iowa City. Hopefully I can stay for another 3 years.
