Not sure - I'd prefer not to be in my university town for the summer though... it's completely dead. I'll look into Princeton/Kaplan thoughcatholicgirl wrote:LSAT tutoring does but you need to be able to get into Princeton or Kaplan. In my city you need connections to do so...because it's such an illustrious job.theduffman wrote:For the poor kids here, what are people planning on doing job-wise? Does LSAT tutoring pay decently?
I found a job with my undergrad university for the summer. Does your school hire graduating seniors for temp positions?

Re: 0L Summer
Now that is luck. Our HR department figured this out a loooong time ago and only allows us to carry over 10 days from the previous year (out of 4 weeks per year not including holidays, sick time, etc.). Thankfully my 'anniversary' date is the beginning of June, so I can accrue some time on top of that during the summer and receive a nice payout right before I start in the fall.EMZE wrote:My situation is that I have accrued 60+ leave days from, well, never taking it nor having the opportunity to do so.

Yeah, I think I'd like to do this. Can you actually just do it for a summer though? When do the classes run? I'd only be home May through August. I feel like they wouldn't invest the training in someone who is only around for three months.FYI: if you've got a 99th percentile score, there are a lot of companies that pay a lot better than Kaplan (I work for one). It is really, really fun to teach.
ETA: My partner and I are going on a 2-month trip abroad. Cannot wait to leave the country (but so much to do before we go!).

Quitting my FT job at the end of May and heading to Australia for a month to see family. Throwing a weeklong Thailand trip in there too before coming back to reality. Will spend a couple weeks packing and having fun at home before roadtripping it across the country.
I gave my boss 3 months notice (that's what he asked me for) but everyone at my current job (I work at a law firm) knows about my plans. They even asked me to write a job description so they could find a replacement.

Aren't you applying next cycle, hence not TLS class of 2015? Or do I have you confused for someone else.bernaldiaz wrote:
