I didn't see one of these for ASU so I figured I'd start one.

Anyone going to the admitted students days? (april 12th and 13th)

I'm contemplating it. I don't live too far away but I'm pretty familiar with the campus and Tempe since I went to undergrad there.

More than likely I'll man up and go though haha

There's gonna be free food man; when you're a starving/poor 1L you'll regret giving up free food. Lol, I'm totally joking.

I'm not too concerned with the campus tour or anything. Just want to meet the dean/faculty and hear what they have to say

Yeah I've been in the law building numerous times and I must say it feels very outdated compared to some of the other buildings on campus (like the bioengineering center across the street from the law school).

I'll probably end up going though, it'll be nice to meet the faculty and some fellow students.

Hi c/o 2015! I am strongly considering ASU and wanted to ask what made you guys choose it over some of your other options...

In state tuition, scholarship, not terribly far from my house, and I can't complain about only paying $9k/year for law school.

basically the same here. add weather and family to that and you've got my list of reasons

thanks for the quick responses / input. it looks like a fantastic school...out of curiosity, what were your numbers? i have a 159/3.85 and i am assuming my LSAT is too low to get scholarship money (WHY do they have to make us wait so long for the financial aid stuff?) but i figured i'd see what everyone else had...

by all means, if you don't want to tell me, don't :)

family here too. I wanted to go somewhere out of state, but with the scholarship and not needing my own place it's kind of hard to pass up on 27k of debt for law school relative to what it costs so many others.

Why's that? That is, if you don't mind my asking.

Only because I live in LA at the moment and it may be tough for me to get those days off of work. I'd love to go and hope I can make it happen, but I'll have to see what my work situation is ya know?

Yea, makes sense. It seems a bit odd that they didn't schedule at least one of the days on a weekend.

Yup! Guess I'll use some Southwest miles and head out there for the admitted students events. Hopefully there will be food/alcohol involved.

I'm hoping so too. On the RSVP form there are spots to request vegetarian meals... so it would seem that there will be food (and hopefully, drinks!)
