You have officially just entered the best "Class of 2015" thread on TLS. Congratulations.

I'm 98.3% set on WUSTL. Anyone else? I know I can't be the only one that was wooed by the insane amounts of money.

If you haven't already, make sure to visit the WUSTL 2L Taking Questions thread. The amount of detailed information in there will blow your mind.

Definitely leaning that way. Wish I could have gone to ASD...hopefully be able to make the next one in march!

They're my first acceptance and waiting to hear about scholarship money. 60k (which is what I'm expecting) and I can pretty much wrap up my decision unless I get a left-field full ride. Hoping to come to March ASD.

I'm about 90% to be in class of 2015. To people on the fence about attending an ASD: I'd really recommend it, the formal programming was good (as formal programming goes), but getting the chance to meet everybody was the real draw. Really came away impressed with the place.

I'd have to agree with this. All the current/former students were extremely outgoing and enthusiastic about the school. The school itself was beautiful and the free alcohol didn't hurt either.

As of right now, I'll be there in August unless I get a huge surprise somewhere else with lots of money.

First of all, welcome to all of you. I've enjoyed my three years at WUSTL and I hope you guys do too. And more importantly, I wish you the best in school and the subsequent job hunt.

If you haven't seen this thread, let me go ahead and whore it out some more: WUSTL 2L Taking Questions

Lots of info in there about apartment hunting, St. Louis, professors, classes, job prospects, you name it. Feel free to ask questions; there are a lot of people in there who would be glad to help. You can also feel free to PM me with any personal questions.

Good idea. I'll add that link to my OP. That thread's amazingness warrants as much whoring as possible.

So does anyone that went to ASD want to post detailed accounts of their experiences? I'm not going to be able to make it to any, and I want to feel included.

Mainly tagging this so I remember to post a rundown. Should be able to get to it tomorrow, but the tl;dr from my perspective is: loved the basics (campus, city, students and staff I spoke with), reaffirmed a lot of what I knew about the school as far as employment reach and jobs, but I actually left feeling reassured about those factors too.

Yeah, WUSTL will almost certainly be in my final four. Heh, given the state of college basketball, maybe the networks would do well to air my final four law school decision in place of the actual final four. Would love to see Dick Vitale have to go nuts about Washington U.. "Whoa baby, the Bears coming on strong from Division Three... which to me is like Division Third World! Never heard of ANY of these schools!"

Ha, i can't tell if that was a typo or Freudian slip with my mind leaving 1 percent open that Notre Dame offers me a full ride and an apology for wait-listing me

I'll be at the March 30th ASD, but after visiting Minnesota I'd be pretty surprised if I wasn't at WUSTL next year.

Any recommendations for a decent hotel for the March ASW? Do I need to rent a car?

I highly recommend the Moonrise. It's within walking distance, so you wouldn't need a car unless you wanted to do other stuff, and it's a really nice hotel. Also, I got a great deal on it (around 70/night before taxes and fees) by going through the Hotwire section where they don't actually name the hotel. If you google something like "hotwire secret hotels forum" or something you'll come up with all the info you need to do it right, but basically, you want to make sure it's in the same geographic area and has matching amenities/stars give a little.

It's fantastic. I've used it probably 8-10 times and it's almost always worked perfectly. :)

Decided to stay at the Hyatt, wife wants to check out the Arch and stuff. Anyone heading to ASW at the end of March from the SF Bay Area?

Seconding the moonrise. It's gorgeous and a straight shoot to campus (plus, you get to walk by some of the apartments in the area). Plus, it's gorgeous, and the bar is phenomenal.
