Top Law Schools

Just got my acceptance on Friday. Didn't see a thread so I thought I'd start one. I'm a Nashville native, and Hillsboro Village was my hangout in high school, so if any has questions about life in Nashville, and the area near Vandy specifically, I'm free to answer them.

Quick tips while visiting-
J&Js market is a big hangout for grad students, it's a 3 minute walk from the school. If you're a smoker, it's got a ton of nice upper end brands, and if you're a beer person, a lot of nice imported beer.

Tarboosh is the local hookah bar. I love it, my sister works there when she's home, and I know the manager- PM me if you're going to go and I'll give you my name to tell Waffik.

Fido's is a coffee shop in Hillsboro village, and is a nice relaxed hangout. Big place for Vandy students to work.

The Flying Saucer is my favorite bar, it's the high end beer place, with over 200 varieties that rotate during the seasons.

Good luck to everyone that got in! I love Nashville and think it's a great city to be in.

PS: I'm not committed to Vandy to attend, that'll shake out when I start hearing scholarships. But I do love Nashville and am happy to talk to anyone interested in living there. It's where I plan to practice, regardless of where I go to school.

I'm visiting on Friday, and Vandy is easily my top choice. Hope everything goes well and can't wait to hear back on scholarships.

Also JJs is great, but it's also crowded with students who like to drink beer while they study.

Not much activity on this thread...anyway, I just sent in my deposit, anyone looking for a roommate? Asian male, 23, non-smoker, light drinker, non-religious, and I only listen to music/watch movies with headphones on. I've been looking at apartments near Vandy since I don't have a car and right now my favorite is one of the smaller two bedrooms at Bell Midtown, mainly because of the central AC/heating, the location, the fitness center, and the fact that the building is less than 5 years old for basically the same rent as 20 & grand.

I definitely think I'll be at Vandy next Fall! I can't wait, I fell in love with the school when I visited for ASW. Hopefully this thread picks up a bit in the coming weeks!

thanks bigeast, I never really used facebook in college and I haven't ever logged on since they made that whole bunch of changes to it.
