Yup, right here (sizeable $$$ from UCLA and no money yet from T14). Biggest reason I wouldn't go to UCLA is because I'm from socal and don't want to move back..DaftAndDirect wrote:Relatively dead "class of" thread. What gives?
Anyone else deciding between UCLA and T14?

not really sure what the deal is, but you're right.DaftAndDirect wrote:Relatively dead "class of" thread. What gives?
still, someone should make an FB group for UCLA Law 2015, since it had to be made by a student last year but now has like ~300 members. like i said, i'd do it but there's only a pretty small chance i'll be attending UCLA, and i don't wanna be the admit of that group for the next 3 years if i don't end up there .

I got the email, but I forgot my user ID (and I think I have that info on my work email)... Is it typically your last name 2015 or something along those lines?joetheplumber wrote:anybody just receive their provisional financial aid award letter?

Hi all,
I'm a public-interest girl through-and-through and I'm wondering:
Is it difficult to find PI jobs outside of Cali as a UCLA Law graduate? I just keep hearing about how it's hard for biglaw jobs. Not from the state and don't plan to be there forever.
Thanks!

Sending in my deposit early next week. Very few scenarios resulting in my not attending though with all my waitlists, it is possible.

Re: UCLA Class of 2015
Should be sending in my deposit in the next week or two! I won't be going to the admitted students day on Sunday, but visited last week and loved the school and the culture at the law school. Is anyone else thinking of living in the campus owned housing? If so, Weyburn or Hilgard? Hilgard is brand new but Weyburn seems like it would be the best place to meet people and all that. I just don't want to be paired with a random weird roommate. Had it happen to me in undergrad and don't want it to happen again. If anyone is at all interested in possibly living in Weyburn shoot me a PM!

Re: UCLA Class of 2015
I'm also going to be sending in my deposit! I just tried to start a Class of 2015 Facebook group, but Facebook wouldn't let me start it without inviting at least one friend, and I don't personally know anyone who will be attending. So if any of you want to help me out, please PM and I'll tell you my name and then we can become FB friends and start the group together!
Also, feel free to PM me if you are looking for a roommate in Weyburn as well. To narrow things down, I'm female

Anyone thinking about living in non-UCLA owned housing? Weyburn is pricey!

@Fake: I would help you start the Fb group but I'm currently not on there because I want to see if I can not have it until June. A little over a month without it and moments like these remind me why it was such a stupid decision. xDD

I was thinking about Weyburn too. Its the cheapest i think of all on campus housing at about 1.2k. Do you know what the rates are for Hilgard and off campus? 1.2k is actually a little too much but if there are no other good option, i might have to pick weyburn too...fakehunter wrote:Weyburn for me! Re: UCLA Class of 2015
I believe Hilgard is about the same. From what current UCLA students told me, off-campus can be around 800-1000K per month per person (depending on how far you want to live).joetheplumber wrote:I was thinking about Weyburn too. Re: UCLA Class of 2015
I see. I think i am going to go with Weyburn then. Weyburn includes utilities and stuff also. I wonder if they have maids to clean like in UG. Does anybody know if people can actually negotiate the rates in on campus housing? I know its possible with off campus housing but just wondering XDGolden Bear 11 wrote:I believe Hilgard is about the same. Re: UCLA Class of 2015
IMO, I doubt you can negotiate on-campus rates.
joetheplumber, are you definitely attending UCLA? I think in another thread, you were a bit underwhelmed by UCLA's ASW?
