I didn't see what you wrote before, but I assume it was a momentary panic, thinking that NU was sending out acceptances in October.basilseal wrote:Edited: I'm an idiot. But thanks for the heart attack

I just threw my app in. Hopefully there's room for more than one Oregonian in the class?rinkrat19 wrote:I didn't see what you wrote before, but I assume it was a momentary panic, thinking that NU was sending out acceptances in October.basilseal wrote:Edited: I'm an idiot. I should clarify for others: I was accepted with the CO 2014 and deferred a year. I've been waiting impatiently to see who MY classmates will be.
Sweet, didn't know you were from out here!Campagnolo wrote:I just threw my app in. Literally the first google image result when I searched for 'candlelit dinner.' It's on the banks of the Zambezi river at some posh safari resort. *drool*SemperLegal wrote:Thats actually breathtaking. You've done this before ...
Congrats again, bseal.basilseal wrote:Feels good to be here officially.
Having gone to ASW last year, I think the real friend-making must occur at orientation. People are super friendly at ASW and it was a blast, but there are still a lot of people there who haven't committed to NU and are still considering other schools. So it's very transitory socialization (if that's a thing) because you don't know who of the crowd will actually be your classmates. I actually only remember the names of two people--both TLSers--I met there.elibrarian wrote:So, I'm ridiculously bummed I can't come to ASW. How will I make friends!?!?!
Oh good, you have allayed my fears rinkrat!rinkrat19 wrote:Having gone to ASW last year, I think the real friend-making must occur at orientation. So I think you'll be ok.

also, elibrarian, i won't be able to make it to ASW eitherTLS party instead??
I KNOW! i basically spend all of my free time in my room alternately reading old NU threads on here and freaking out about finding an apartment close to campus for less then 3 million dollars a day. i wouldn't mind taking out a little bit extra in loans for COL, but i'm under the impression that's not how it works...ncterp wrote:Checking in. Also not able to make ASW so I am going to try to visit the school in the Spring, sit in on a class, check out the usual suspect areas where students live, etc. The excitement of getting the acceptance has in no way worn off yet!
