Select your class from the list, and then hit "view textbooks" on the following pagejhyt wrote:Pardon my ignorance, how do I find out which books are needed for my classes?
In the e-mail from the registrar, it says:Tiago Splitter wrote:I hope so. Mine is also 620-720.Bronck wrote:Thanks man. Does this mean it's coupled with Legal Research then? It looks like they'll change the time for LPW after Sep 7, since it'd be absurd to be there 620-720 during the semesterTiago Splitter wrote:No Friday classes for me either.
Legal practice workshop continues into the semester per the Academic Calendar.
And I guess they are serious about legal methods. Twice a day for three weeks. Like an NFL Training camp.
To me, this seems like the LPW we have scheduled is the one for the whole semester (so, potentially the 6:20 class time), and we'll find out when we have LPW during Legal Methods when we get to orientation. That would explain why some of your scheduled LPWs appear to conflict with Legal Methods, because the LPW we have down is the one for the rest of the semester. Am I misreading something? The registration packets that will be distributed to 1L's at Orientation on Thursday will contain the following materials:
Fall 2012 class schedule (includes your Legal Methods schedule, as well as the schedule for your courses that start on September 10) - also available in Lawmet
Legal Practice Workshop I (LPW I) schedule for August 20-September 7 (note that your LPW I schedule for this period does not appear in LAWNET)
Legal Methods assignment for your first class meeting on Monday, August 20
A general memorandum with information on the Foundation Curriculum; details on Legal Methods, Legal Practice Workshop, and Legal Research; where to purchase books; exam policies; required documents; etc.
Columbia University ID Card if we received your photo in time, or information on how to obtain your ID

Sounds right to me. Thankfully mine is at 8 am and not 6:20.crooked wrote: To me, this seems like the LPW we have scheduled is the one for the whole semester (so, potentially the 6:20 class time), and we'll find out when we have LPW during Legal Methods when we get to orientation. Yeah...it would be nice for them to let you know this earlier. I also have no idea what the class party is or why it'd be held at a law office.jetissent wrote:Anyone else get the email about Bobbit's "Class Party" for Methods? I did not realize I'd need a suit this quickly.
