If you are looking for roommates or apartment ideas or whatnot, feel free to post here as well as or as an alternative to the facbeook group.

There is also a roommate finder through BU's admitted student site, I believe, but I don't know if we have access to it yet. (Thanks for unintentionally reminding me to look tonight!)

Personally, I am looking for something near the school, preferably walking distance. I believe there was a similar post on the fb group, but I'm sure there will be many thinking this. If anyone is thinking similarly, let me know via PM and we can discuss further about what we are looking for and our personalities/peeves.

It's official. I just mailed in my seat deposit. I'll be looking for roommates as well so I'll be browsing all those sites. Anyone know when the ideal time to secure an apartment would be?

Boston apartments for 9/1 start going in January, so now is good. I'm also looking currently.

I know what you mean, I haven't been a Cowboys fan since I was a little kid when Irvin and Primetime were on the team and ya I'm from Texas. Not a big baseball guy but I watch the Rockets pretty frequently.

I'm glad I'm not the only Texan going to BU. Now there are at least two of to annoy our fellow 1L's with our state pride and quaint southern charm, amirite?

Indeed, I got a kick out of the fact that I was the only person wearing cowboy boots. Now that I think about it I didnt see a single person anywhere in Boston wearing any.

Someone I talked to at ASD was saying the same, though she was not from Texas. I don't know if I've ever noticed anyone wearing cowboy boots in Boston. I've seen people where them to countryfest or such but not just around.

Another Texan here! I am trying to learn how to make a lot of tex-mex stuff before I head up Boston in a few months so I don't die of sadness once I arrive. It would be a shame to give BU all that money and then expire from a lack of decent tacos.

So you're saying we should start a taco stand at BU.. I like it.

sent in my deposit a few days ago! unfortunately i've spent a total of about 48 hours in Boston in my entire life and dont know anyone. I already joined the facebook group and have been checking the roommate listings on BU's website, but am not really sure how housing is going to pan out... I literally couldn't care less who i live with so long as the rent is cheap (600-800). Any other people looking for a roommate feel free to contact me
