Best supliments for 2l classes

Post by Golgothan » Thu Aug 13, 2009 5:12 pm

What is the basic rule with supplements for 2l classes? Right now I plan on getting E&E's.

What do yall think is best for the following classes -- Intellectual Property, Constitutional Law II (already have chemerinsky), Business Organizations

I'll keep my question in this thread by adding Evidence and Federal Income Tax.

Guys, as a 2L I have the same question, but I'm pretty sure given the paucity of 2Ls and higher we are better off asking 3L friends from our respective schools.

Also want to know about Corporations/Business Organizations and Federal Income Tax.

I'll add Foreign Affairs and Intro to Accounting to the list.

Here's my thread about evidence: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... =3&t=71620

I give my review/opinions on the last post in that thread. It's unfortunate that a better list of upper level supplement reviews doesn't exist on this board, given the extremely comprehensive number of reviews on 1L supps.

I am taking tax and the prof required the E&E and chirelstien so I would assume those are pretty good. As far as IP goes, I didn't use any supps last sem when I took it... The book and prof were pretty straightforward. The cases all start to look the same after a bit (esp for copyright and trademark)

I took it last summer (I bought the E&E and Eman just based off the amazon reviews).

Are you a part time? I thought you were just a 1L.

I am also looking for a good hornbook on Corporations, does anyone have any advice?

I am taking Taxation (federal income tax) and it appears everyone says Chirelstein and E&E is the best on this.

The Corporations E&E (by Palmiter) is generally considered the best.

For Corporations/Business Organizations, I am finding Mastering Corporations and Other Business Entities really straightforward and helpful. With the advice given in this thread, I may check out the E&E as well.

Late contribution, but I have a feeling this thread will take off again...

For Admin I had a very theoretical professor and the Concise Hornbook Series' "Principles of Administrative Law" by Keith Werhan was amazing. For the more run of the mill Admin class, I've heard the E&E is fantastic.

Anyone have suggestions for Patent Law? What about for Business Organizations (that's not the E&E...).

Do you have to buy 2 E&E's: agency, partnerships, and LLC's AND Corp's for Business Org's? Is there one book for business org's?

What I used for Evidence:

EZ Rules Evidence
Lexis Q&A Evidence
Understanding Evidence
Exam Pro Evidence

Took Evidence and Advanced Evidence. Got an A in both.

I used the Corporations E&E sparingly, but to be honest - I thought it was the worst E&E I've used. Maybe I'm spoiled by Glannon, but I found the topical organization/explanations/statement of BLL in the Corporations E&E to be mediocre at best.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
