This was my response...
You mean not everyone likes the same exact thing? You don't say...

I thought everyone likes the same exact car, and watches the same show, and likes historic paintings to hang in their office...

Do you really all lack perspective that badly? It's a good gift, several other people like it. You don't, fine by me, but keep your lackluster responses to yourself.
LOL. I never said it was a terrible gift. Just trying to offer some alternate perspectives.

Law students aren't that bad. This sub-forum for law students is actually quite subdued. It's the rest of the forums that are loco, and none of those people are even in law school. I think chrismike spilled over from those other forums.

So I'm kind of confused on what a gunner is...is it just someone that is really competitive or is it someone that tries to answer all the questions and is wrong a lot?

I concur with the lapdesk. That's fantastic.

I know I"m not in law school yet but I always surf the net and read online when I'm in bed and I know a lot of students that do. That's great.

Also... don't forget the massage. That, i'm sure, would be amazing.

I'm sure most universities have like massage therapist at their Rec Center for a cheap price like $30 bucks for an hour. Get her a gift certificate for that. It's amazing. :)

Good luck.

Put glasses on her and a weird pink blazer/blouse and it looks like Sarah Palin during the Katie Couric interview, only slightly more thoughtful and diplomatic.

I'll admit, I don't think I would be all that thrilled with the framed Constitution/DOI signing, though it would be cool, but an equally nerdy "I just got out of law school" gift would still be terrific. Say... a collection of law reviews from my graduating school or a framed constitution itself.

Can I assume you tried this? Because I can't see it, at all. Maybe in real life it looks different. lol.

Why do you want to play around with a blow up doll, seriously? I hear guys joking about it, not my guy friends thank goodness, but really? that's gross.

I agree with the above. It does sorta look like a mixed japanese girl of sorts. Definitely not Governor Palin.

Because some people are even rejected from match.com.

If she's like every other law student, she does not enjoy Bluebooking and messing with citations. Get her some automatic Bluebook software. My brother uses Citrus (http://www.cit-r-us.com) and likes it a lot. It only works on Windows and only with Microsoft Word, so if she's a Mac user then the earlier suggestions about caffeine are better.
