Why does Susman have so few associates from Stanford relative to other schools and other firms of similar ilk?

Because Stanford is a really small school. Don't read into it too much.

A secondary reason is likely geographic. Sussman only has ~30 attorneys in California. Stanford grads tend to stay on the West Coast. Sussman is mostly a Houston and New York firm.
