Second "1L" Summer Job?

Happy holidays everyone! Long time lurker here. So I've been taking a year-long medical leave since Fall 2023 and am planning to return to school next fall (will become a fresh 2L). I just wonder if I should get another summer job in Summer 2024, or it does not hurt since I got one in 2023?
In addition, I struck out of the past OCI so I can only do Pre-OCI next summer per school policy. Will firms still consider me as a "1L" (so I can apply for 2L SA) and do I need to submit an addendum illustrating my situation? Any advice on re-applying for the same firm (same/different location) or I should focus my time somewhere else?
I do not know anyone around me who has similar situation, and the career office did not give me a definite answer, so I guess my best bet is to ask here
