Any speculation (or anecdotal evidence) as to how latin honors cutoffs for the class of 2022 will be affected by the 1L semester of credit/fail grades?
Presumably higher because, for our year, a semester with the strict curve was erased? Reading tea leaves here.

Can't you just look at the cutoffs for the classes of 2020 and 2021, who also would have had a semester of P/NP?econfanatic wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 8:12 pmAny speculation (or anecdotal evidence) as to how latin honors cutoffs for the class of 2022 will be affected by the 1L semester of credit/fail grades?

'20 & '21 lost a semester of easier curve. They had 3 semesters after 1L to 2 1l, or 40% of graduating GPA based on 1l grades.becodalapa wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 9:39 amCan't you just look at the cutoffs for the classes of 2020 and 2021, who also would have had a semester of P/NP?econfanatic wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 8:12 pmAny speculation (or anecdotal evidence) as to how latin honors cutoffs for the class of 2022 will be affected by the 1L semester of credit/fail grades?

'22 lost a semester of hard curve. They had one semester graded 1L, 4 after. 20% of graduating grades based on 1L. Huge difference.

Fair enough. My school and all of the schools I'm familiar with used the same curve for all three years, so I was operating under the assumption that OP's did as well. If that isn't the case, then clearly looking at 2020 and 2021 won't work as well, although it could still be informative.Access wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 10:54 am'20 & '21 lost a semester of easier curve.
