Missed OCI deadline as a 2L, are my Biglaw dreams over? Forum

2L at a school in Chicago. About 25% of our class goes BigLaw every year and I’m in the top 15%. I missed the OCI deadline because it occurred literally in the middle of finals week last semester. Killed it grades wise, but literally no idea how to get on BigLaw radar without OCI. What do I do?

Time to mass mail folks. I'd also ask your career office people what firms they think will be receptive atm. But I'd send snail mail apps with cover letters geared towards each firm and fire them out to every firm in Chi. Or I'd at least snail mail to all the firms I was most interested in. Otherwise, send out emails to everyone and see what bites.
I totally struck out at OCI (median at T1), got my 2L SA by just going out to coffee with people (pre pandemic) and some of my other friends were successful by mailing.
