Preparing for Externships

As the second semester begins and first semester grades are finalized, most 1L's will start to interview for externships. Preparing for an externship, particularly if you haven't worked for an attorney or at a firm beforehand, can be daunting. Information about a firm's culture, dress code, and norms aren't always provided in a listing, or even in an interview.
