What happens to the students of TJSL? Arizona Summit students were granted accreditation through graduation. I'm not understanding what the benefits would be to attend this school.

The only benefit to attending that school is to say you went to "law school." It is a last-resort step for someone who is deadset on ruining their life.

The TJSL situation is a bit more complicated that Arizona Summit or other schools that closed, in part because law schools in California aren't as dependent on ABA accreditation as law schools in other states. TJSL has contemplated continuing to run as an unaccredited law school (which would involve a significant transition in faculty, curriculum, and student costs/disclosures) and pursuing California state accreditation (which requires approval but may not be as disruptive overall). They have also contemplated selling the law school or closing.

This is not really a loss, though. It's worth noting that TJSL has been among the worst-performing ABA schools in the country for at least the last decade. This is true for both entry statistics (like LSAT and GPA) and exit statistics (bar passage, debt-to-earnings ratio, exit salary, underemployment). Schools in California may accept TJSL transfers out of cycle like ASU did for AZ Summit---other schools in Southern California regularly take in-cycle TJSL transfers.
