My school has a first year first semester curve set at a 2.42. My first semester GPA was a 3.0. They have yet to release the class rankings, making it tough to apply to summer internships/entertain the idea of transferring schools that require a certain class rank percentage. Based on any of your experience with your own GPA and class ranking, is there any way to estimate what % of the class I would be?

If you have another data point (e.g. what GPA was top 10% last year), you can use the class rank estimator here to get a rough idea of where you stand.

That won't be much practical help, because you can't put an estimated class rank on your resume. But if you just want to know whether you have a shot at transferring, it'll help you narrow down your rank.
