Evidence: "Specialized Knowledge" v. "Particularized Knowledge" (Lay Testimony)

I'm having trouble with the distinction between the two and am hoping someone can explain it. Thank you!
both specialized and particularized knowledge testimony is essentially about giving predictive testimony. the difference is that an expert relying on specialized knowledge can listen to a hypothetical scenario and give his opinion as to what the outcome of that scenario would be.
particularized knowledge, on the other hand, is giving predictive testimony based on past experiences. for example, if a longtime small business owner could testify what his expected profits would be for the current fiscal year, based on previous years. he's not an economics expert or accountant, but its about a topic (his business's financial state) that he has particular knowledge about.
