"Your Honor" and/or "Judge". I find "your honor" a little bit odd in conversation but I try to say it once and then "Judge" wherever I'd say "m'am" or "sir". "Yes Judge", "thank you Judge", "that would be great Judge" etc.

"Judge XYZ" is fine. "Your honor" is reserved mostly for formal court proceedings.

Thanks!! one more q- for a district c. externship, will judges typically do offers on the spot? or are these generally just with clerkships? I am prepared to accept, just curious.

Also, any preview on questions that might be asked?

As others have stated, Judge XYZ feels the most natural. Your honor is for proceedings.

The timing of your potential offer will depend on judge. Sometimes the clerks do the interviews.

Interview questions might also vary, but generally the same as every other law interview. You might get some interest/fit questions, and you might get some questions about 1L year and what you have learned.

Bring a writing sample if you have not already submitted one.
