Top Law Schools

Hey guys,

I am one of two candidates for the EIC position on one of my school's secondary law journal. I need to prepare a quick five minute speech for why I should get votes over the other candidate. Unfortunately, I feel like it will come down to a popularity contest. I'm a transfer and the other candidate is not, so even though I consider myself a fairly likable guy, I am sure he knows more people than I do.

Any ideas?

Are there any actual ~reasons~ that they should pick you? If so you might consider pointing those out to your audience.
