Top Law Schools

I am a 3L enrolled in Con Law this semester. Did anyone else use this casebook for Con Law? I know that the gold standard is Chemerinsky, but my class does not use his casebook, so I am concerned about conflicting interpretations.

ETA: Are the CALI lessons good for this class?

I didn't use the Sullivan/Feldman book, but I had a lot of success using the Chemerinsky supplement with a different casebook (Stone). If you can't find anything geared towards your casebook I'd just do the Chemerinsky supp anyways.

I didn't use a Chemerinsky text either but his supplement was super helpful.

My class used sullivan/feldman. I basically abandoned the textbook midway through the semester and relied on chemerinsky. Did really well on the final. Ymmv.

Also used Stone, and Chemerinksy worked well. Sometimes looking at news articles about SCOTUS cases can also be useful; see, e.g., http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_ ... ation.html

I emailed the prof. This is her reply:

"I would not recommend Chemerinsky. I teach the material in a very different way from him."

In fact, she said in class that she recommends NO supplement at all. FML.

I'd still get cherminsky or check it out from library. Hands down the best supplement I used in law school (and I was a big fan of using supplements). See how much your prof really diverts from Cherminsky...I doubt its very much.

Thanks! I am lost as hell in that class (thanks to spending so much time on the job search), so I will definitely check out that supplement. Is it worth it to spend $80 on the newest edition or will a slightly older edition in the library suffice?

I used an older edition and ended up being fine. For any cases you cover that are more recent than the edition you're using, you can fill in the gaps yourself (I think marriage equality might have been the only topic where this was an issue in my class).
