Are these two different names for the same general class?

At least at my LS, BA did some corporate stuff, but also did a deep dive on partnerships, agency and LLCs as well. Corporations covered those topics in a more cursory fashion, and was more focused on fiduciary duties, pre-incorporation Ks, etc.

Edit: But yes, the subject matter will, in general, be the same. It's really a scope thing.

If your school offers two different classes bearing those names, then the difference is likely to lie, as implied above, in partnerships/agency. And if the course is Business Associations (or Biz Orgs, or Biz Enterprise), then it likely includes partnerships/agency, though the extent to which it does will often rely on the professor.

Most corporations courses cover the basics of partnership law, too - to give you a point of compare/contrast/background (so don't think you're missing anything too exciting if there's a choice and you choose 'corporations').

Corporations is generally included within the larger category of business associations, but business associations encompasses more than corporations. Partnerships (which usually includes limited liability companies), agency law, and corporations are generally included within business associations.
