Doesn't Westlaw have a 'legal drafting assistant' or something like that now?

Whatever that would be, you'll probably never use it.

I don't recommend it, but you will probably run across WordPerfect if you do any work in federal court.

I do recommend it. But then I've been using WordPerfect since the mid-80s and only started using Word in the late 90s, routinely even later than that.

But it's not what you're asking about. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by manage research materials. I mean managing the materials themselves is what you do with your Westlaw or Lexis folders. If you're talking about tracking your authorities, both Word and WordPerfect

The IT guys in my court tried to do this simply by not installing it on replacement computers. There was a revolt (fueled in part by love of WP, and in part from the fact that people were in the middle of drafts in WP.

I friend sent me this link to software that addresses the issues involved with drafting professional documents and legal documents in particular: https://www.lexprompt.com

My friend who recommended this works at an AM100 firm and they've been using it for the last month and love how it's helped their practice.

I downloaded the trial and I'm testing it for my situation. So far I love it. It provides quick and easy access to all my work library. For an attorney, saving even a few hours a month on administrative work adds up to hundreds of dollars per month. Plus the work product is of higher quality.
