Pro Bono Scholars Program?

Wondering if anyone here has done the NY pro bono scholars program (take the bar in Feb of 3L year then do full time pro bono work for remainder of 3L year)? Anyone consider doing it and then choose not to? I am looking for some input as to the pros/cons of the program.
