Think about the biggest asshole at your school and how much it would suck if that person did better than you.

Maybe you'll be the first no-offer they give because your grades fall so much.

No matter what you do, no matter how hard you work, eventually you will die. So too in time will all those who knew you, taking all their memories and experiences of you with them. Everything written in your hand will disappear, every monument to you will erode. Even the very record of your existence will fade; it will be as if you never were.

So you might as well try to get good grades and give yourself a moment of self-satisfaction in this fleeting repast from the void.

You might want to lateral sometime down the road.

It must depend on how far out you are right? If you get shit-canned first year, yeah, I imagine your grades are going to matter much more than after 3+ years.
