First 2 semesters were great. Next 2 were so so. The rest were just, "whatever, just get me the f*ck out of here."

I like it, and I equally understand people who hate it. It's unfortunate that we never talk about things Business Lady wants us to talk about, because I think that would add a lot to the academic side of law school, but it's paradoxically unfortunate that we spend too much time mulling over "both sides of the issue" at the expense of learning how to avoid committing malpractice.
(1L disclaimer, but I think this is probably equally relevant given interactions with 2/3Ls): Most of the stress seems manufactured and ultimately avoidable. People go to law school expecting to get good grades, be a shining beacon in a classroom filled with dullards, appreciated by professors for their class contributions, and be courted by multiple prestigious employers at/before graduation. I just assumed that I'd get terrible grades, everyone would be smarter than me, professors would think I was an idiot, and that no one would want to hire me after I graduate. The fact that some of my assumptions were wrong changes absolutely nothing for me.
If your happiness is contingent upon beating out the rest of your class in some form or another (either because you MUST get biglaw to be a success in life, or because you'll be debtfucked without it), if you're expecting another three years of undergrad, or if you live for the intellectual high of having a professor applaud your brilliant analysis [masturbation] on something, you'll probably be miserable in law school, but you'll also probably be miserable in life. Law school does tend to attract a lot of these kinds of people. Prestige truly is a big fucking lie.

He's a masochist and figured the only way to go through hell and pay 80k/year for it was the law school route.

I liked law school fine. Some parts more than others, but it was fine. I like work better, except for not getting spring break and the like.

I just read this sentence in my casebook:
"In order to protect the owner of an unlimited profit a prendre or other incorporeal hereditament against "involuntary" abandonment under the circumstances in which conflicting inferences may be drawn from his nonuser we hold that the trial court must find either that the owner's future use of the right could result only from a palpably unsound business judgment or that the owner has given further indication of his intent to abandon."
The solution is just don't read (obviously) but crap like that makes the school part of law school really hard to like.
Eta: Actually I think the worst part of it is that I read it and didn't think anything of it and then stopped and read TLS, saw this thread, and realized what I just read was complete garbage and I'm almost completely numb to the school part of law school's day in and day out awfulness at this point. Which is kinda tragic IMO.

Even with a full ride you have to factor in the three years of lost income.

I'm honestly not trying to pick an e-fight here:
How do you find yourself stimulated 25% of the time? (unless you mean "on coffee" or something then I get it)
To me the material is almost always dry at best, a prende hereditaments at worst. The content is usually just kinda Meh and the way it's presented is in like the worst way possible. Pretty much every non-Cardozo writer is basically the worst ever. And then you have to listen to law professors and law students talk about it. And I think my professors have actually been pretty good! I don't know, maybe it's just my problem but it's the least stimulating schooling I've ever done by a healthy margin.
Just honestly curious how other people are able to derive something enjoyable from it a decent proportion of the time.
Eta: I'm just talking normal class room stuff, not working or clinics or bar review or anything like that
