Does anyone know what the cutoffs are this year/were in years past?

I found a couple stats in the TLS threads, but pretty old: 3.63 for 15% and 3.4-ish for 35%.

I've heard there are binders of grade distribution information available somewhere; does anyone know the protocol for reviewing them?

Binders are available in the records office, but they're always a year old. You wont, for instance, be able to find out how many A+s there were in your classes from last semester (until next fall, that is).

You won't know what the cutoffs are exactly at any point along the way either, other than through anecdotal data.

Anyone else have any anecdotal GPA cutoffs? Or does 3.63 sound right for GW Scholar top 15%? I've seen 3.7, but I think people were talking about top 10% from olden days.

Just got my last grade and have a 3.64...so right at the border. The waiting game never ends.

FWIW, I heard last year that the cutoff was 3.65. Based on OCI screening interview statistics, that sounds about right. You should be finding out soon though--it'll show up on banweb. Congrats on a good first semester.

Well, 3.646 made the cut for GW Scholar for Fall 2014.
