A professor agreed to write a letter of recommendation for me to transfer out of the school and promised to send it last week. I e-mailed her on Sunday and left her a voice-mail yesterday. She has always responded to me, but this time, she has neither replied nor sent me anything. I feel completely ignored. What's going on?

you're being a needy little bitch, that's what. chill out and give it a few days if you don't need it urgently (and by urgently, i really mean urgently). profs this time of the year go and do weird things when students are taking exams.

this happened to me twice re LORs. the first time, the judge that i interned for passed away. the second time, my professor's husband was hospitalized. moral of the story: wait longer.
