Our school gives a 1 week break between classes and finals. I heard other schools give 2 weeks from the end of classes to finals.

Screw you. Classes ended December 5; Finals start Dec. 8.

Dec. 6 (SATURDAY!) listed on academic calendar as a reading day.

2 days (Thurs and Friday) before exams start on Saturday.

Yikes. FTR, we have neither classes nor finals scheduled on Saturdays (which is why I find it so laughable as a reading day. Might as well make Thanksgiving break a reading period as well.

Well, scheduled exams don't start until Mon or Tues, but all the self-scheduled stuff opens up online on Saturday. I seriously doubt many people are actually taking an exam yet (although there were trial ad moot trials yesterday for more than one school down at the Daley Center).

Last real day for us was the 21st. Technically had class the 24th, but almost all professors cancelled. First day of finals was the 4th and they go until the 16th. Spring we get 3 days less of reading period.
